2015 Year in Review

It's been a busy year.

I know it likely doesn't seem that way. I haven't posted much here on the blog. I didn't have any new novels released. There hasn't really been any news. But, believe me, it's been full-on crazy behind the scenes.

Writing

A couple of weeks ago, I did some counting and discovered that the total word count for all the projects I have completed this year is over a half-million. (To put that in perspective, that's the equivalent of about 6 of my full-length novels. In one year. Yikes.) And that doesn't include words that were cut out of manuscripts while I was editing and rewriting. It doesn't account for the time spent editing and rewriting and planning and plotting. Writing-wise, things have been busy and productive.

Researching

I recently had a fantastic idea for a new book and have started the sometimes grueling but always fascinating task of researching a story idea. I'm learning tons. I'm starting to fine-tune the story. The characters beginning to really take shape. And, most important of all, I am getting super, super excited. I think it's gonna be great.

Business-ing

There has been so much going on behind the scenes on the business-end of stuff. Seriously, so so much. I get asked a lot when I'll have new full-length novels released, and I now that it's hard to wait. But all of this behind-the-scenes businessing is where that happens. There's been a lot of it. So, hopefully soon--everyone cross your fingers--all that behind-the-scenes will pay off and I'll have some in-front-of-the-scenes announcements to make.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support, your words of encouragement, your patience, and your kindness. 2015 has been great in so many ways, and I'm looking forward to 2016.

Have a lovely Christmas and a fabulous New Year!

Yay! Congratulations on all the writing! That is busy. I'm toying around with the idea of being an author but not sure how it will go. It's exciting to see how many words I have written and knowing how many I have done you have done a whole ton!!! give yourself a pat on the back! I just ordered your British Isles collection last night for myself. I am super excited to get it in the mail. I hope you had a great Christmas and have a wonderfully happy new year:)
