Walkabout Wednesday: I'm definitely putting THIS on my resumé!

It's Wednesday. Let's go walkabout.

(I'm bringing along a few of my mates as I wander through the vast wilderness of the publishing industry, learning the ins and outs, and having a grand adventure.)

Walkabout, Week 64:

Something exciting to share with y'all! I have been invited to be the Writer in Residence at the 2011 Northwest Writers Retreat in Washington state. I'll be following in the footsteps of the fabulous Janette Rallison, although I am far more likely to be tripping in said footsteps.

I am uber-excited about this opportunity for many reasons:
  1. I haven't been to Washington since I was a little girl.
  2. I get to have a "Mom Break" for a few days.
  3. I get to teach writing-related classes, something I actually really enjoy doing.
  4. I get to attend writing-related classes, something I really, really enjoy doing.
  5. I absolutely love hanging out with other authors
  6. It makes me feel cool.
So, wahoo!! I'm grinning just thinking about it.

Don't forget to leave a comment to enter for your chance to win November's giveaway prize (a gift card to LUSH.)

Congrats! You will be great. I know I would love to hear you speak. Too bad I am not conveniently located to Washington.

That sounds great! I lived near there when I was little. I wish I could go . . . maybe you could swing by Wyoming on your way and pick me up! ;)

You know, Washington is close enough, perhaps I could actually go. Hmm..oh wait, this isn't about me. It's about the awesome (muchly deserved) honour you've received! Yay Sarah! Congrats!

The class you taught at Storymakers is still having a positive impact on my writing. Life changing, really. You will rock it.

Sounds like a wonderful retreat! Too bad I'm not a writer. Enjoy Deception Pass! I hear it's beautiful. Oh--and if you need something while you're here (flight delay, etc.) let me know. I'm pretty close to the airport.

Also, I have a suggestion for INFF. He's in my ward and is really quite hilarious!

Congrats on your Writer's Retreat. Sounds like a great time. I've never been to Washington state, but hear it's beautiful. Take care.

I was just reading your INFF interview with my friend Karen, and decided to catch up on your blog. (I'm trying to cut back on my blog-surfing hours, but, like any addiction, it takes a lot of work and there are always setbacks.)

Anyway . . . I just wanted to say how thrilled I am that you're coming to the retreat next year. I can't wait to meet the fabulous Sarah Eden and drink from your fount of writing wisdom.
