Walkabout Wednesday... September's Spectacular Giveaway!

It's Wednesday. Let's go walkabout.

(I'm bringing along a few of my mates as I wander through the vast wilderness of the publishing industry, learning the ins and outs, and having a grand adventure.)

Walkabout, Week 52:

Remember back before the summer when I gave away a prize every month? Remember how those prizes were uber-cool? Remember how I took the summer off because I was giving away books all over the place? Remember how sad that made you?

It's September. The giveaways are back!!!

This month's prize is a lovely, hardcover Jane Austen-themed journal. Along with a pretty color sketch on the front, is the quote
"We have all a better guide in ourselves,
if we would attend to it, than any other person can be."

At the bottom is Jane Austen's signature (though I'm pretty sure it's a reproduction and not an actual signature--pretty sure).
Fabulous, yes?

So, here's how to enter... I've WAY simplified it from what it was before because it was too hard to keep track of everything.

One entry for EACH of the following:

  • Leave a thoughtful comment on any post that goes up in September
  • Post a link on facebook, twitter, your blog/website, etc.
  • Be an INFF guest
  • Be an INFF guest and get five or more comments on your interview
  • BONUS FOR SEPTEMBER: Leave a comment identifying which Jane Austen character said the quote on the journal and in which of Austen's books.
You can enter as many times as you want all month long.

Entries will close at 11:59pm September 30th. The winner will be announced October 1st!

Happy entering!

I thought long and hard about leaving this comment.

Does that count as thoughtful? Also, I hereby volunteer to be an INFF interviewee.

There, I did it.

Oh, and just so you know, my WV is:

That sounds like some straight up Puff Daddy slang.

Hooray! The giveaways are back! And I love this prize.

I would love to be interviewed for INFF (if fear counts as love).

I'm tweeting this contest.

Love your blog, Sarah!

Wooooooo I love giveaways! They are the best!

The quote is from Mansfield Park, of course. ;)

I chuckled to myself about this post because I have that exact journal (couldn't pass it up) and am 3/4 of the way through it. I love, love, love it. And if I won another, I would love to give one to my dorky sister. (I say this with all my love)

I am curious as to what the quote means. It seems so confusing.

The old fashioned language makes it a little hard to sort out, Elizabeth. Essentially it means that instead of depending on other people to tell us what is right and wrong, we should listen to our own conscience, because deep inside we usually know already.

Jane Austen defiantly had those opinions.
