A Super-Fantastic Giveaway

Welcome to October!

In honor of the start of fall and the approach of Halloween, I'm doing a great big giveaway.

Last year I had the fabulous idea to write a ghost story. It would be suspenseful and creepy and completely cool! In the end, the ghost story turned out to be a romance--who would have guessed. It also turned out to be pretty darn amazing, if I do say so myself. THE PRICE PAID was released in October 2008, and it is one of my favorites.

From the back: When a distant cousin dies leaving Nickolas Pritchard an unexpected inheritance, the previously penniless young gentleman assumes his troubles are over. Soon he discovers his windfall isn't quite what he thought. Legend has it, the estate's history is filled with war, tragedy and mystery. And, of course, there's the ghost...

THE PRICE PAID is a ghost story filled with unexpected twists and turns, mystery and legend, an intriguing historical context and, as I said before, romance. And I can pretty much guarantee that the ending will take you by surprise!!

Are you intrigued? Are you in a Halloween-type mood now?

Good. 'Cause the prize in this Super-Fanstastic Giveaway is an autographed copy of THE PRICE PAID!

Here's how to enter: Leave a comment to this post in which you answer the following question... "What is your absolute least favorite type of candy to get trick-or-treating?"

Yep. That's it. The winner will be chosen completely randomly from amongst all the comments.

The winner will be announced this Wednesday, October 7th in the Wednesday Walkabout.

Good luck!!

Laffy Taffy. I swear, those things will rip the teeth right out of your head.

(Pick me! Pick me!)

Fireballs! Yuck!

I would have to say...apples (yes, it has happened before). Lame. (I know that is not technically a "candy", so I hope I still qualify!) :)

I don't like DOTS. For hours after you have them, you still find Dots bits stuck in your teeth. Ugh.

Anything strawberry flavored. I HATE STRAWBERRIES!

I think I like the real candy corn the least. They were just too sweet. Give me indian corn any day.

I hated getting Bit O Honeys. Blech.

Can I win something again? Please say I'm not out of the running, because I really want to read this book (I always love me a ghost love story).

Let's see ... candy I hate ... ugh, tootsie rolls. Makes me gag.

I agree with Melanie J. NO to the bit-o-honey. But also, my mom would ALWAYS make us go to this one lonely, old ladies house. She always gave out raisins. blah.

But, now as a Mom, I totally get it. :)

Anything with Raisins. Mostly because they are the fruit of Satan. And leastly, because they are the fruit of Satan. That is all I have to say.

Bubble-gum--it was always hard. Now I just give out anything chocolate because most everyone likes it and parents like it when they find one they can sneak from a child's bag.

I actually really like Bit-O-Honey. But I can't stand SweetTarts. In fact, I don't like anything sour since the unfortunate Sour Patch Kids Incident of 1994. I ate too many and for three days I couldn't taste anything. I was really scared that I'd never be able to taste anything again, but finally the whole top layer of my tongue peeled off and presto, I was okay. But now anything sour just makes me shudder.

Oh, sorry, was that too much information? :)

I think tootsie rolls are my least favourite- I don't mind one or two, but I always seemed to end up with dozens upon dozens of them. :P "Off brand" candy is usually pretty gross too.

I enjoyed reading your interview on M. Gray's blog so much I had to visit your site--and on a day you're hosting a giveaway! I call that fantastic luck.

I hate hard candy. I ALWAYS bite it and then little pieces get stuck in my teeth and I am tasting that candy for an hour after I think I've swallowed the last of it.

Raisins. They're not even candy but there's always someone handing them out! That person should be kicked out of the neighborhood...along with the guy handing out dental floss.

Those taffy candies with the peanut butter in them. You know the ones, wrapped in the black and orange wrappers. I'm not picky in the candy department and will eat just about anything even if I don't like it, but those always made it into the garbage. In my opinion, they're worse than the religious pamplets one neighbor always gave out.

Smarties. I won some in a big jar for guessing closest to the number of smarties. Too much of a good thing. I know I'm already entered, just thought I'd chime in.
