He Has a Name!

My little guy is just so grown up.

After two weeks of bonding and being up late at night and spending far too much time together, I have finally christened my little bundle of electronic joy and happiness.

Now you are wondering... How did I arrive at this name? I will tell you, 'cause let's face it, I still have more room in this blog entry.

  • Byron - For Lord Byron who, though purportedly "mad, bad and dangerous to know," was a genius with words.
    She walks in beauty, like the night
    Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
    And all that's best of dark and bright
    Meet in her aspect and her eyes:

    *Sigh* I'm hoping a little of the wordsmith magic rubs off.
  • Austen - For Jane Austen who could write like nobody's business. The queen of the Regency Romance, not because she was into history, but because she lived it.
    "The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid."

    You said it, Jane!
  • Dell. Um, hello. It's a Dell.

My favorite part about Little Byron Austen's new name? When he's acting up or giving me grief or I'm just plain frustrated with him... I can call him by his initials. BAD. And that will be very, very cathartic.

Joel named his Blackberry Byron. For Lord Byron. I told him that his blackberry may snag the clapp -like Byron - but it never did. Good name. Served Joel well until last year. When he died.

LOL Yes, his initials do sound perfect for the moments that he acts up. :)

I am glad to here that the two of you are getting along well.

Yes, Steve. I know that book, though I have not read it. It is all the original Austen PLUS the previously overlooked zombie attacks that Jane, apparently, forgot to include. Why didn't someone think of this sooner? It is on my summer reading list, I assure you!
